Scanning Services
Studio Fahrenheit is using a Kodak / Creo iQSmart2 Scanner to produce the majority of the scanning requests. The quality of the scans that an iQsmart2 can create is truly impeccable and can reach to resolutions up to 4300dpi and for an overall size of 30x40 centimeter. The above resolutions are available for both transparency films (negative/positive) and also reflective scans. Please contact us for price list.
Film Processing
We have the ability to develop all kind of films in all type of formats. Regardless if the film is B&W or color we develop all films in a Jobo 2500 rotary tank system, with freshly made developers produced at the time of the development.
Standard black and white development is using Kodak D-76 or Ilford ID-11 developers. However we do have the capability to use other developers upon demand , i.e. Kodak X-tol, Agfa Rodinal, Ilford Micrphen, Ilford Ilfotec DD-X, Rollei and Pyro.
Along with the development we can proceed on providing a traditional made silver gelatin contact print or a digital print (long side 6000px) that can be send through digital transfer.

Silver Gelatin Prints
All requests for Silver Gelatin Prints are hand made processed. Studio Fahrenheit facilitates a state of the art darkroom with 3 different enlargers (LPL, DurstM805 and Leica Focomat) in order to satisfy the different requirements and match the expected result of the photographer. We have the ability to print from 9x11, 13x18 20x25 up to 125x150cm. For all greater formats please contact with us.
For all Sliver gelatin prints we use Ilford papers (Resin coated or Fiber Based) depending on the project. The developer is a general use developer i.e. Kodak Dektol or Ilford Multigrade. For any other specific developers please contact us.
Fine Art Prints
The difference from a Fine Art print and a standard Silver Gelatin print is the process. The process of producing a Fine Art print includes different bath stages during the development and fixing procedure. Furthermore all Studio Fahrenheit Fine Art prints are going through a final bath of selenium toner.
Fine Art prints are satisfying the purpose of Exhibitions, Portfolios and print runs where the artist wants to achieve the maximum able quality on a Silver Gelatin development process. However, experience showed that the key factor for successful fine Art Prints is the collaboration with the photographer himself that makes the difference. During the process the photographer is collaborating in order to explain and finally produce the results that are mirroring his vision into a photographic paper.
Studio Fahrenheit is also capable of producing Fine Art Prints with alternative processes, mainly Platinum palladium. For any request on platinum Palladium prints, please contact us.
Giclee Fine Art Prints
Digital Giclee Fine Art printing services for your art pieces up to 110cm. The word "giclee", characteristic of premium prints, was adopted by typist Jack Duganne. He wanted a name for the new large prints he made with ink jet printers. He was actually looking for a name that did not refer to the words "ink" or "digital" printing. This word is based on the French word "gicleur" which means "mouth". It is now used by artists, workshops and galleries to define a high quality print, but since it is not an official term, it does not come with some form of quality guarantee.
Fine art printers usually use cotton paper which is printed in ink by top quality printers. At Studio Fahrenheit we have been using this method since 2019 and today based on the Canon Imageprograf Pro 4100, we offer top print quality in dimensions up to 111cm wide. With a variety of smooth, soft or bold textures, the Giclee method is your best choice for fiber-based paper printing.
All our prints and products have a lifespan of more than 50 years, as defined by the certifications provided by the manufacturers, without at the same time being a guarantee of longevity, and this is because there can be no control over the conditions under which prints are displayed at the end.
